Review "De Krenten uit de Pop"

"Katja Kruit's voice lends itself perfectly to the country music she makes on her first album. It is a voice that can sound powerful and passionate, but there is also a lot of emotion in the singing, which is what gives the songs on Live A Little More a pure and sincere character.... Especially in the somewhat melancholic songs, Katja Kruit's voice and the great string work on the album reinforce each other in a very beautiful way and the musician from Delft is not inferior to the better country albums made in the United States this year.” - Erwin Zijleman, De Krenten uit de Pop

Recensie in Country Music People Magazine (UK)

"An early highlight is the two-stepper I'm Not Holding It Together which sticks firmly to her three chords and the truth philosophy... She also shows her fondness for a honky tonker on Kick Me When I'm Down... Both are excellent."

Review Orange Flag Music

"Many traditional instruments are used and that greatly enhances the country feeling. Dobros, pedal steels, mandolins, acoustic guitars, drums, the whole picture is complete. That in combination with the beautiful voice of Katja Kruit makes this quite an strong traditional country record." -Orange Flag Music

Review New Folk Sounds

"Katja sings her songs superiorly: relaxed, accurately and with feeling. Especially in ballad-like tracks such as I'm by your side, she knows how to command attentive listening. Although more up-tempo songs such as Kick me when I'm down also easy to convince... Especially the guitar work (Joost Abbel and Arthur Deighton) and the fiddle (Joram Peeters) provide a driving whole. The CD booklet contains all texts, illuminated with photos and illustrations. A professional production on all levels." -Hans van Deelen, New Folk Sounds

Album release November 26

Hello! My name is Katja Kruit and I am a singer and steel guitarist. I love country music how it's meant to be: three chords and the truth. Inspired by the Chicks, Dolly Parton and Bonnie Raitt, I write country songs with a touch of bluegrass and blues.

This year, I am recording an album of my own songs for the first time in a studio and releasing it on vinyl. My crowdfunding campaign on Voordekunst.nl was a success, so I'm currently busy making the dream come true!
